DHall Grub

Our group decided to meet at DHall for some dinner at 5:30pm. We all got there and the place was pretty much empty, which was awesome because there were no lines for food. We grabbed a booth, grabbed some food, and started talking. After about 2 minutes of talking, Brittany and Stephanie realized that they were both from New Jersey and lived not too far from each other. Drew, Ian, and I also realized that we all lived in about an hour from each other in the 757 (area-code). Ian Taylor went to high school at Norfolk Academy, which plays a bunch of local private schools where I live. We then started talking about Drew's organization that he's in for about half of the dinner. He's involved in a group where JMU organizes a certain amount of money given to them from donations and such that is then transferred to the stock market where they try to make that money grow. In general, we realized he doesn't do much besides snowboard and that organization because he's so busy all the time. Brittany and Stephanie later started talking about how amazed they were with how nice people are in Virginia. They both said that people from New Jersey are very arrogant and rude. They figured that about every 10 minutes that you would be driving, people were either flicking you off, or you were doing the flicking...sounds like a great place to live. Before we left, we all started talking about schools we applied to and Virginia Tech was brought up in the conversation and we realized that all of us were at the JMU-VT football game this year in Blacksburg. Although, Ian and Stephanie weren't true fans and left at half-time when JMU was losing. They later realized they made a HUGE mistake when they found out that we ended up winning the game on their bus ride back. Overall, our DHall dinner was good and we all got to know more about each other and feel more comfortable with one another.
